Paneer Butter Masala 


1) Paneer-150 grams 

2) butter (unsalted) -1 stick 

3)Cinnamon  stick -2

4) Pepper – 5 no.s

5) Green Cardamom – 4 no.s

6)Red Chilli -4 no.s

7)Turmeric – 1/2 tsp

8) Tomato – 3 large

9) cashews -10-12

10)Poppy seeds – 2 tsp

11) Salt – As per taste

12) Ginger-garlic paste -1 tbsp 

13) Onion -1 large( medium sized)

14) Cloves -4 no.s

15) Garam Masala powder -1 tsp 

16) Red Chilli powder – 1tsp 

17) Tomato Ketchup- 1 tbsp 

18) cream – 1tbsp

Preparation :

Take a wide pan, add 1/2 stick of butter, to it add pepper, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon stick, cashews,  red chillies,Poppy seeds, and once they are fried. Add ginger -Garlic Paste, onions, chopped tomatoes. Once the tomatoes are done turn off the flame. Keep it aside and let the mixture come to cool.

Blend it well it into a smooth paste.

In an another pan, add remaining  butter, and the paste which is made before.

Add chilli powder, turmeric, salt, garam masala and let the sauce cook until it leaves oil on the sides.

Add 1/2 cup water. 

Add ketchup to the sauce pan and cook for 5-10 minutes.

Add Paneer cubes to the sauce and simmer it for 5 minutes.

Top it with cream and turn off the flame.

Always use spices on level of hotness required.

The curry will have rich texture with the use of Poppy seeds and cashews.
