Tomato Puree


Tomatoes- 3( big)

salt- 1/4 tsp


To make tomato puree,

Take 2 cups of water in a sauce pot, Add tomatoes to it boil until the skin of toamtoes start leaving them.

Once the skin of tomatoes start leaving, turn off the flame and keept hem aside until they reach room temperature.

Remove skin of tomatoes , add them to blender  and blend until smooth puree is formed.

Take a sieve and strain the puree for extra smoothness.

Tomato puree is  now ready to mix in curries.

Do not add water to the puree.

To store puree for 8-10 days, Add puree to the pan, add 1/2 tsp of salt, sugar and 2 tspn of white vinegar.

Simmer it for few minutes and store it in a air-tight container.
