Shrimp fry 

Ingredients :

Shrimps deveined and cleaned – 1 lb

Onions- 2 big

Green chilli -5 no.s

Red chilli powder -1tbsp

Turmeric powder – 1tsp 

Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp 

Coriander powder -1tbsp

Garam masala -1 tsp

Cumin seeds -1/2 tsp

Salt to taste


Marination : Take a mixing bowl, add cleaned Shrimps, 1/2 tsp of salt, turmeric, and red chilli powder and marinate for 15 minutes.

To a Pan, add oil and fry the shrimp for a while on medium flame and keep them aside in a bowl.

Preparation :

To the same pan, add oil, once the oil is hot. Add cumin seeds, thinly sliced onions, and add salt and cook then until they become translucent.

Add chopped green chillies, and fry for a while.

Once they are fried add ginger – garlic Paste  and fry until the raw smell is gone.

Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and coat the mixture well.

Fry the mixture for a while.

Add shrimp to the pan and cook for 5 minutes on a low flame.

Turn off the flame and serve it hot with rice or roti.

Note: Do  not  over cook  the shrimp, it will lead to rubbery texture.
